Miss Sloth was amazed at the majesty of the Spirit of Birthdays. Never before had she gazed upon a creature of such whimsy and fantasy! If anyone could help her get to Sarah's house in time for her birthdays, it would be this magical squirrel.
"Golly!" exclaimed Miss Sloth. "That would sure be swell of you, O Great Spirit of Birthdays. But however shall we get there?"
Why, by submarine, of course! said the Spirit of Birthdays, with a wry smile about its whiskers. Look yonder and you shall see the vessel that you shall embark to reach Sarah's party.
The Spirit of Birthdays stretched out an ethereal paw and pointed down towards the pool. Miss Sloth craned her head to look where the spirit pointed: as she watched, she saw a slow stream of bubbles rise slowly from its depths... as a magnificent Yellow Submarine surfaced, ready and waiting for her to ride to the party!
The Yellow Submarine! That mystical, magical machine spoken of in song by the coleoptera! Or so Miss Sloth had heard.
"Gosh!" said Miss Sloth, for this seemed to be the proper response to a submarine emerging from the depths of a pool in a cave at the command of a floating ethereal squirrel. "How wonderful!"
Oh, said the Spirit of Birthdays, but this is but a small part of the wonders you will see, for the journey to Sarah's house, though short, is full of fantastic sights. Climb in, and we will begin.
And so Miss Sloth climbed into the Yellow Submarine. Being a sloth, this took quite some time, though not so long as it would have taken to arrive at Sarah's house on her own. And the Spirit of Birthdays was patient, waiting until Miss Sloth had found her way inside before disappearing within as well. The hatch closed behind them and the submarine submerged once more into the pool as they began their marvelous journey to Sarah's landlocked and desertous home.
This would, of course, be no problem, though, for the Yellow Submarine is no ordinary submarine.
